MALITZIN CORTES - CNDSD, is Musician, Speculative Architect, Creative Technologist.
As an artist, she investigates the forms in which the sound, the architecture, the technology and the science hold the ability to be great diffusers of discoveries and devices of self-reflection that can unleash speculative worlds.
Through live coding processes, experimental sound, CGI, game software, installation, virtual reality and enhancement and performance, I seek to merge the physical and the digital through new models of social interaction and politics capable of providing new forms of relationship from the utopia and the fiction in this constant state of crisis and also of hope. Her work unfolds between Live Coding, Live Cinema, XR Experiences, Creative Coding, Speculative Architecture, Experimental Music, Design and Sound Art.
She is a professor and researcher at the Universidad CENTRO | Design, Film and Television in the field of creative code, STEAM and new sound and immersion technologies and in the CMMAS in the field of algorithmic music composition and live coding.

Synopsis:
The audiovisual work "Synthropia Floresta" unfolds in three narrative movements, exploring the intricate relationship between nature and culture that was born on the island of Madeira and still prevails today, delving mainly into the generation of one of the most peculiar musical instruments in the world, with a strong social, narrative and sonorous charge: the Brinquinho.
The first movement immerses the viewer in the very birth of Madeira, emerging from the depths of the ocean to shape an island covered with lush forests and unique landscapes. Wood, a vital component of this environment, takes centre stage, setting the scene for the second movement, where the sounds of trees and instruments made of wood in the Western musical tradition capture the essence of the brutality and beauty of the growth of these ecosystems.
From the animism inherent in the human relationship with nature, the imagery of the birth of the Brinquinho is woven. The work evokes the fusion between humanity and trees, manifesting itself in a musical celebration where the Brinquinho comes to life in various forms, from organic elements to geometric figures, evolving into human form in an expression of interpretative joy.
